Scientific research and education institutions from around the world are subscribers to JoVE. As December just gets underway, we’d like to highlight some of the many who chose to subscribe this past month.

We’re proud to provide the benefits of our unique video resources to hundreds of diverse scientific institutions around the world. As thanks for their usage and advocacy, today we’ll be highlighting a select group of institutions that became JoVE subscribers this past month.

North America

Rochester Institute of Technology

Rochester Institute of Technology

Today RIT claims over 18,000 students, 3,000 staff, and countless research labs and centers. To help advance the work that all these individuals do, RIT has now subscribed to four of the sections in the JoVE Video Journal.

Fairfield UNiversity

Fairfield University

Fairfield University is now celebrating its 75th anniversary. As part of their continued investment in the education of their students, they’ve now chosen to subscribe to JoVE Medicine as well as two collections from JoVE Science Education.

Chowan University

Chowan University

It might have just 1,500 students, but big strides in scientific education are taking place at Chowan University in South Carolina. This month, 11 JoVE Science Education collections were brought to the school to make science education more efficient and more consistently successful.

Jacksonville State University

Jacksonville State University

Jacksonville State University now offers its psychology-focused students access to four collections from JoVE Science Education that are sure to make learning and understanding easier than ever.

Meredith College

Meredith College

For over 125 years, Meredith College has offered students a place to grow their strengths and explore new possibilities. To that end, they’ve now subscribed to seven of our JoVE Science Education collections on topics in the fields of biology and chemistry.

Post University

Post University

Post University distinguishes itself and an institution with a keen eye on the future of education and how college life can be adapt to keep pace. It should be no wonder, then, that Post has now adopted 22 Science Education collections for their students.

Shasta College

Shasta College

This month Shasta College subscribed to 10 of the JoVE Science Education video collections, covering disciplines including Chemistry, Clinical Skills, and Biology. For a school with such a diverse student body, these resources are sure to be valued in the years to come.

South Florida State University

South Florida State College

SFSC has grown by leaps and bounds since its founding in 1966. Along the way, it became a pioneer of offering bachelor’s degree programs at community colleges and now even provides master’s degree programs. SFSC now has access to four of the JoVE Science Education collections.

Asia

Nara Medical University

Nara Medical University

Japan’s Nara Medical University recently celebrated their 70th anniversary with a promise to advance their institution and their educational and research facilities. As part of that effort, NMU has subscribed to three sections from the JoVE Video Journal.

Peking University

Peking University

Peking University has been one of the leading higher education institutions in China since its founding in 1898. To help continue that tradition of excellence in scientific research and education, they’ve subscribed to five Video Journal sections.

Northeast Normal University

Northeast Normal University

NENU is one of the national key institutes of China. Between 2006 and 2013, their institution’s researchers completed over 3,000 projects. With their new subscription to JoVE Bioengineering, Biology, Immunology and Infection, Medicine, and Neuroscience, they have the opportunity to complete even more.

Korea University

Korea University

Korea University was the first modern higher education institution founded by a civilian in South Korea. Since its founding, the university has built a reputation for leading modern educational techniques in the country. With their new access to six Video Journal sections and one Science Education volume, these educational efforts are sure to advance in the years ahead.

Dong-A University

Dong-A University

As an institution, DAU prides itself on delivering unrestrained access to scientific knowledge and technology. To that end, they’ve now supplied the over 20,000 students currently at their institution with access to four diverse JoVE Video Journal sections.

Australia

Australian Catholic University

Australian Catholic University

ACU is Australia’s top Catholic university. Their institution extends to campuses all across the country, to students in a wide variety of different disciplines, and to researchers who are leading the way toward some of the most exciting scientific advancements to come from Australia.

Griffith University

Griffith University

Griffith University now ranks in the top 3% of universities around the world. Their diverse research work has led to discoveries including the first photo of an atom’s shadow and what could be the world’s first malaria vaccine. This month, they chose to advance their research even further with JoVE Neuroscience.

Europe

Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna

Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna

The University of Bologna is one of the leading academic institutes in Italy and stands as the oldest university in all of the Western World. This month, they became subscribers to JoVE Biology and Medicine as well as three different volumes of JoVE Science Education.

Eindhoven University of Technology

Eindhoven University of Technology

One of the most influential research universities in the Netherlands, TUE has now provided their students and researchers with access to the Chemistry and Engineering sections of the JoVE Video Journal in addition to their existing JoVE subscriptions.

For five years, the University of Helsinki has been expediting and expanding their scientific research and education efforts through JoVE resources. Clearly, they’re putting the content to good use as this year they chose to bring even more sections to their population.

University of Gothenburg

University of Gothenburg

The University of Gothenburg in Sweden offers degrees and research opportunities in a wide variety of different disciplines, ranging from physics and engineering to biomedicine and clinical sciences. To aid in all these fields they rely on JoVE Video resources and have now added Science Education volumes to their subscription as well.

Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology

Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology

The Nencki Institute is on a mission to excel in basic scientific research. To that end, they’ve brought a number of JoVE resources to their populations in recent years including brand new access to JoVE Medicine, Cancer Research, Biochemistry, and Genetics.

University of Rennes 1

University of Rennes 1

The University of Rennes traces its history back to 1461, the founding of its predecessor: Université de Bretagne. In its over 500 years of educating, the university has seen tremendous growth and advances including the development of 32 separate research units, all of which now have access to JoVE Genetics and four volumes of JoVE Science Education.

ENS de Lyon

École Normale Supérieure de Lyon

ENS de Lyon is a recognized leader in health, chemistry, and human sciences research. To date, their university has won a number of CNRS medals for research excellence and one Fields medal for achievement in mathematics. Recently they became subscribers to JoVE Biology and four volumes from JoVE Science Education.

French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA)

CEA

The CEA performs research and development work in partnerships with academic and industrial institutions throughout Europe. This month they elected to make their research more efficient and expansive with the help of JoVE Biology and Neuroscience.
