B. Experiments on Animals
Video-Articles reporting experiments on animals require the authors’ confirmation that experiments were performed strictly following all respective guidelines and regulations. Authors must attach a statement at the end of the submitted article: “Experiments on animals were performed in accordance with the guidelines and regulations set forth by „Name of Institution/Committee”. Whereas JoVE does not encourage the use of animals for research purposes, we acknowledge and honor their integral part in contemporary life science research. Researchers should use gloves, coats and other personal protective equipment required when handling animals, reagents and chemicals. We recommend the authors consult with animal research specialists at their institution to ensure adherence to the best practices in animal studies.
C. Review Process
Submitted video-articles are subject to peer review. Submitted articles will be typically peer reviewed and published within 14 days after acceptance. Prior to publication, the final version of the edited video-article is sent to authors for approval. At this time, authors must check for accuracy of all content including spelling of names and current affiliations of all authors and co-authors.
