Our lab just published another paper in Biology Open that addresses the question of whether these cells are stem cells. We show that you can purify a sub-population of the pigmented ciliary epithelial cells and these rare cells (stem cells) are capable of making photoreceptors with over 80% efficiency. http://bio.biologists.org/content/early/2012/02/03/bio.2012027.full

Hi, I am very intereting in retina stem cells.
Do you check their differentiation ?
Actually I wanna make iPS for retinal stem cells.
Would you supply these cells for me?

In the previous comment (#3) I have a link to one of our papers that has the differentiation data for the retinal stem cells. I will not be able to supply you with these cells since they do not freeze or travel well so you will have to isolate them yourself or have another lab nearby do it for you. In addition, we are also working on iPS cells so it would be a conflict for us. Sincerely, Brenda
Congrats for your effort.
