Sequencing of the libraries prepared according to these guidelines results in sufficient data for comprehensive bioinformatic analysis. The protocol we present is simple, uses standard laboratory equipment and takes seven days from lysis to obtaining libraries. The protocol includes preparation of the setup including the radio-frequency coils, standardized interview procedures with MS patients, subject positioning in the MR scanner and MR data acquisition. Behavior Measuring Light-Switching Behavior Using an Occupancy and Light Data Logger Krzysztof J. Leoniak*1, Wojciech Cwalina*1 1Department of Social Psychology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University This article describes a procedure for using and deploying an occupancy and light data logger which allows collecting data about light-switching behavior of participants in field settings. Chemistry Surface Properties of Synthesized Nanoporous Carbon and Silica Matrices Angelina Sterczyńska1, Małgorzata Śliwińska-Bartkowiak1,2, Małgorzata Zienkiewicz-Strzałka3, Anna Deryło-Marczewska3 1Faculty of Physics, Adam Mickiewicz University, 2NanoBioMedical Centre, 3Department of Physicochemistry of Solid Surface, Faculty of Chemistry, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Here we report the synthesis and characterization of ordered nanoporous carbon (with a 4.6 nm pore size) and SBA-15 (with a 5.3 nm pore size). The work describes the surface and textural properties of nanoporous molecular sieves, their wettability, and the melting behavior of D2O confined in the materials.
