Arthur Luhur
Associate Director

Arthur Luhur is the Associate Director at the Drosophila Genomics Resource Center (DGRC) in Indiana University Bloomington. He manages the accession, handling, and distribution of Drosophila cell culture resources worldwide. He also actively develops new cell culture reagents and assists the research community in using these resources.

Dr. Luhur’s scientific interests revolve around understanding the impact of post-transcriptional gene control on animal physiology. He graduated in 2005 from the National University of Singapore, where he delved into antiviral therapeutics. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2010 from Indiana University Bloomington, with a thesis on the importance of small RNAs during Drosophila development. He pursued the theme further during his post-doctoral training, focusing on how post-transcriptional gene regulation affects the stem cells in the developing nervous system and the adult intestine.
