D. Patrick Fitzgerald is a laboratory specialist 1 for the New York State Department of Health. He has been employed at the NYS Rabies Laboratory since January of 1994. He obtained his B.A. in biology with a psychology minor from the NYS University at Albany in 1990. His undergraduate studies focused on environmental, field biology and animal behavior. Among his unpublished undergraduate papers are a study of road kill as an indicator of habitat disruption and a study of nest building factors of B. splendens.
