Emrah Aydin

Dr. Aydin graduated from Kabatas High School in 2000. He received his MD from Marmara University, School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey in 2007 and completed his pediatric surgery fellowship at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty in 2014. He worked as a visiting scholar in Fetal Surgery at Barcelona Vall d’Hebron University. After completing his pediatric surgery fellowship, he worked as a consultant pediatric surgeon in Istanbul Bahcelievler State Hospital and Istanbul Bagcilar Training and Research Hospital. Then he worked as a research fellow at the Fetal Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center between 2016 and 2018. He was graduated from the School of Health Services Administration, Ataturk University, Erzurum, Turkey and e-MBA, School of Business, Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2019. He is also studying at School of Business, Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey; Applied Data Science Program Master’s Program, TED University, Ankara, Turkey and Surgical Morphology PhD Programme in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

His main field of interest is the prenatal and postnatal management of congenital diaphragmatic hernia. His research interests include prenatal diagnostic markers of congenital diseases, prenatal imaging modalities of congenital diseases and development of new fetal therapeutic interventions.

He has many publications both in national and international journals.

His mission is being a pioneer in improving child health beginning from the prenatal period. His vision is trying to improve child health and transform the delivery of care through fully integrated, globally recognized research, education, and innovation.
