Assistant Professor

Dr. Greg Harris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at the University of Cincinnati with a secondary appointment in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and performed postdoctoral studies at Princeton University in the Department of Molecular Biology. He has also held research appointments at the Mayo Clinic in Regenerative Neurobiology and Rutgers University as a NIH T32 Fellow with the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials.

Dr. Harris began at the University of Cincinnati in 2017 and his research group is particularly interested in developing multi-cue biomaterials to dynamically regulate cell behavior for applications in the peripheral nerve, spinal cord, and general wound applications. His research also includes developing a mechanistic understanding of the cellular function of Schwann cells in peripheral nerve regeneration.
