WarrenStudent Janine Warren is a graduate student in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Hartwick College, and studied the glycosylation of MUC1 in HeLa cells during her time there. She also briefly studied the plasma copper and zinc concentrations in individuals with autism. Since her undergraduate work, she has joined the Lamar Lab where her main research focus is on understanding metastasis and identifying new ways to treat this disease. Through this work she has learned to use and optimize mouse model systems to study different steps in the metastatic process.
