Jeremie Boucher is Principal Scientist in the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism department at AstraZeneca in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is also adjunct senior lecturer and has a research group as part of the Wallenberg Center for Molecular and Translational Medicine at the University of Gothenburg.

Dr Boucher did his post-doctoral training in Ron Kahn’s laboratory at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard University, Boston, USA. There he studied the differences between insulin and IGF-1 signaling, and the role of insulin and IGF-1 receptors in the control of gene regulation, apoptosis, and white and brown fat development and function. Dr Boucher’s current research interests include the modulation of adipose tissue health and function for the treatment of metabolic diseases.
