Kristine Conde

Kristine Conde is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Dr. Yong Xu at the Children's Nutrition Research Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. She received her undergraduate degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, master's degree from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, CA and her PhD from Rutgers University in New Jersey. During Dr. Conde's training she developed a keen focus on understanding neural mechanisms that regulate body weight and energy homeostasis. As a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Yong Xu’s lab, she studies the roles of Serotonin (5-HT) in the Dorsal Raphe Nucleus on food intake and energy homeostasis to provide a better framework for obesity therapeutics.
