Liat Morgan is on her last months in a Combined DVM-Ph.D. Program, at the Koret School of Veterinary, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the supervision of Dr. Tal Raz. Her thesis focuses on pig welfare, and the results have been leading to the development of regulations for pig welfare in Israel.

In the last two years, Liat embarked on a new research project, which aims to build a broad plan for the Israeli government for controlling dog overpopulation and improving animal welfare.

For the past four years, she has been also serving as the animal welfare consultant of the Israeli parliament for cruelty towards animals committee, and as a consultant for Israeli veterinary services regarding pig welfare and dog population management.

Liat is also the founder and general manager of Yad4.co.il, the Israeli animal adoption database. The only search engine which includes adoptable pets from all organizations and public shelters in Israel, in order to increase the adoption rate and save the lives of thousands of abandoned animals every year.
