Dr. Komelski is mind-body exercise and intervention protocol specialist, and Advanced Instructor at Virginia Tech, where he teaches a course on integrative health. He is certified in both traditional and evidence-based mind-body protocol and has more than 2000 hours of teaching experience, including design and leadership of controlled trial protocol for studies at Salem Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center and Virginia Tech. In addition to his protocol design and leadership, he has also engaged in health survey research of populations practicing Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and Qigong in the US and Australia. In 2016, he organized and chaired an international research symposium on Taijiquan for the Gerontological Society of America’s Annual Meeting, and he is currently a member of the planning committee for the Contemplative Practices for Higher Education Conference.
