Ramakrishna Sesham received his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from Acharya Nagarjuna University of India, and a Master of Science from the Texas A&M University-Commerce.

During his research work at Texas A&M University – Commerce, he has developed a proficiency in utilizing ion mobility - mass spectrometry techniques to study metal chelating peptides of bacterial origin and synthetic peptides which successively have a potential to develop therapeutics for diseases associated with metal ion misbalance such as Menkes and Wilson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, cancers, and Alzheimer’s disease.
