Assistant Professor

Dr. Short received her Ph.D. in Genetics and Development at Cornell University, and continued her training as a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Short is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at The Ohio State University. Her laboratory studies insect-microbe interactions, the insect microbiota, insect disease tolerance, and ecological immunology. Her primary system of interest is the yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti.
