He received his undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington in Wilmington, North Carolina. During his time with Johns Hopkins University, Steven has been focusing a majority of his time on the development of the salivary glands of Anopheles gambiae mosquitos; under the tutelage of Dr. Deborah J. Andrew. Steven's future career goals including attending graduate school and continuing his research.
