I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Neuroscience of the Université de Montréal. My research facilities are located at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal of the Recherche CIUSSS-NIM, where I joined the Center for Advanced Research in Sleep Medicine after completing two postdoctoral trainings (N. Cermakian, McGill University, 2006-2008; P. Franken, U. Lausanne, 2008-2010) and one Ph.D. in neurological science (M. Dumont, U. Montréal, 2003-2006). I am a member of the Sleep Research Society, the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms, the Canadian Sleep Society, the Canadian Society for Chronobiology, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience. My main research topic, funded by the Canada Research Chair in Sleep Molecular Physiology, CIHR, and NSERC, concerns the molecular physiology of sleep regulatory mechanisms. In particular, my team is working on the links between sleep homeostasis, transcriptional regulation and synaptic plasticity, and on the involvement of synaptic adhesion proteins in sleep regulation.
