Vincenzo Corbo
Assistant Professor

Vincenzo Corbo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Verona, Verona, Italy. He received his undergraduate with honors degree from University of Naples, and a Ph.D. from the University of Verona, Italy.

During his training he developed a keen focus on cancer genetics, especially of pancreatic malignancies. As a post-doctoral fellow in David Tuveson's lab at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (NY, USA), he co-developed the organoid culture system of pancreatic ductal cells and used that system to identify malignant-specific responses to pharmacological perturbation.

Dr. Corbo received a Start-up Grant from AIRC (Associazione Italiana Ricerca sul Cancro) in 2016 and started his own lab at the University of Verona. His research program encompasses using different experimental models and clinical tissues to understand how intra-tumor heterogeneity and cell plasticity drive the progression of pancreatic cancers.
