I received my undergraduate degree and a Ph.D. from China Agricultural University, China. During my training in Chenggui Han's lab at China Agricultural University, I focused on the mechanism of RNA silencing suppressor encoded by plant viruses. As a post-doctoral fellow (2016-2017) at China Agricultural University, China, I studied the host-pathogen interactions during the plant virus infection. I then moved to Dinesh-Kumar's lab at the College of Biological Sciences, University of California, Davis, USA, as a post-doctoral employee. Here I learned to use the TurboID-based proximity labeling method to identify interaction partners of plant NLRs and conducts research on plant immune response against pathogens.
