Renske is a MD/PhD Candidate in Critical Care in Groningen, the Netherlands. She is a coordinator for the Simple Intensive Care Studies (SICS, thesics.com) and coordinates SICS-II, which focuses on structured research into repeated critical care ultrasonography. Moreover, Renske enjoys but also tries to encourage teamwork to improve research in the field of ultrasonography in Critical Care. Her supervisor is dr. Iwan van der Horst, who created the SICS, and her PhD focuses on Acute Kidney Injury and the (possibly predictive) value of ultrasonography.
