This in vitro protocol can be used to check the effect of potential new antifungal compounds on the metabolic activity of Candida species cells in biofilms. Environment Enhanced Oil Recovery using a Combination of Biosurfactants Arif Nissar Zargar1, Nidhi Patil1, Manoj Kumar2, Preeti Srivastava1 1Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, 2Indian Oil Corporation, Research and Development Faridabad We illustrate the methods involved in screening and identification of the biosurfactant producing microbes. Methods for chromatographic characterization and chemical identification of the biosurfactants, determining the industrial applicability of the biosurfactant in enhancing residual oil recovery are also presented.
