Delineiamo un protocollo che implementa approcci sia in vivo che ex vivo per studiare la colonizzazione del cancro ovarico dei tessuti adiposi peritoneali, in particolare dell'omento. Inoltre, presentiamo un protocollo per quantificare e analizzare le strutture cellulari immunitarie nell'omento, note come macchie lattiginose, che promuovono le metastasi del adiposo peritoneale.

L'obiettivo generale di questa procedura è dimostrare l'uso di tecniche standard per quantificare la colonizzazione del cancro ovarico dei depositi adiposi peritoneali. Ciò si ottiene attraverso l'iniezione intraperitoneale di cellule di cancro ovarico nei topi dopo il sacrificio dei topi in momenti specifici.
