Dr. Kim is a Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Convergence Medical Science at Gyeongsang National University School of Medicine in Jinju, Republic of Korea. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. with honors degree from Seoul National University, Seoul, and a Ph.D. from the Gyeongsang National University, Jinju, in Republic of Korea.
Dr. Kim was recruited as faculty at Gyeongsang National University in 2004 and he expanded his research area from chronic stress to depression. His major research interests are understating the underlying mechanisms in depressive behaviors, aging accelerating effects of chronic stress and glutamate/glutamine cycle regulation related in glutamatergic signaling.
