Doctorate in Biological Sciences (2010, University of Valencia, Spain) and currently works as a senior researcher in the Unit of Inherited Cardiomyopathies, Sudden Death and Disease Mechanisms in the Health Research Institute La Fe (Hospital La Fe, Valencia, Spain). From the beginning of her postdoctoral stage at the Unit of Haemostasis, Thrombosis, Arteriosclerosis and Vascular Biology of the Health Research Institute La Fe she has been studying the biological relevance of miRNAs, not only as novel biomarkers but as intercellular communicators.

More recently, her research has focused on the study of epicardial fat as a metabolically active tissue involved in the development of both ischemic heart disease and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.
Regarding miRNAs, she has published 12 articles and supervised 3 Doctoral Theses and 3 Master Theses, has been invited speaker in national and international conferences and reviewer of 8 international journals.
