Oswaldo Valdés-López

Oswaldo Valdés-López received his Ph.D. from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Mexico, in 2010, under the supervision of Prof. Georgina Hernandez. He subsequently undertook two postdoctoral positions, the first one at the University of Missouri-Columbia under the guidance of Prof. Gary Stacey, and the second one at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Michel Ané. Oswaldo is now an Associate Professor at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Iztacala, UNAM. His research focuses on the control of the early molecular events of legume-rhizobia symbiosis, and how these are regulated under phosphorus deficiency.
