In a case study at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), instructors augmented their traditional curriculum with JoVE\u2019s multimedia science resources to better align with student-centered learning. They introduced JoVE Science Education videos to illustrate key concepts in a general chemistry course, effectively blending standards-based content with interactive visual learning. The outcome was striking: students\u2019 test scores jumped from an average of 28.9% before using the videos to 89.5% after (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cloudfront.jove.com\/files\/media\/pdf\/JoVE%20Advantage%201%20-%20Video%20Effectiveness%20in%20Education.pdf#:~:text=Students%20were%20tested%20on%20their,only%20read%20the%20lab%20handouts\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">source<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). This ~60 percentage point increase in assessment performance highlights the power of integrating innovative tools into standards-driven instruction.
