אהרן צ'חנובר נולד בחיפה, ישראל באוקטובר 1947. צ'חנובר חלק את פרס נובל לכימיה בשנת 2004 עם אברהם הרשקו אירווין רוז על גילוי של השפלה בתיווך היוביקוויטין לחלבון.
