Hier presenteren we een robuuste methode om te herprogrammeren primaire embryonale fibroblasten in functionele cardiomyocytes via overexpressie van GATA4, Hand2, Mef2c, Tbx5, miR-1 en miR-133 (GHMT2m) naast remming van TGF-β signalering. Ons protocol genereert kloppend cardiomyocytes zo spoedig 7 dagen na transductie met korting tot 60% efficiëntie.
