Calculating Work from Multiple Forces

Description

Calculating work from multiple forces can be done in two ways, and both methods give the same result. One method finds the work done by each force first. The other method finds the net force by adding the force vectors first.

考虑一辆行李牵引车以10,000 N的力拉动一辆行李拖车  以30度角牵引一辆小车时,若小车受到2,000 N的摩擦力,将其沿直线移动10 m所做的功是多少?

绘制受力分析图有助于清晰理解作用力。

垂直于小车运动方向的力不会引起小车的位移,因此这些力不做功。

x方向的力包括拉力的分量和摩擦力,二者进行矢量相加。

总功等于沿位移方向的合力乘以位移。

或者,可以先分别计算每个力所做的功,再将它们相加。

垂直方向的力所做的功为零。拉力和摩擦力与位移方向不垂直,因此对总功有贡献。
