Controlled-Current Coulometry in Redox Analysis

Controlled current coulometry is an electrochemical method used to measure the amount of a substance by passing a steady current through a cell. It is also called amperostatic coulometry. The analyte, or substance being analyzed, reacts at the electrode surface as charge moves through the system.

因此，必须提高细胞电势以维持恒定电流。然而，在发生电极上可能开始发生其他反应，这些副反应会降低电流效率。

通过添加过量的媒介体，可实现100%的电流效率，该媒介体会产生与剩余分析物定量反应的离子。

或者，可以使用外部生成的氧化剂或还原剂。
