How Masonry Walls Gain Extra Strength

Post-tensioned masonry walls gain extra strength from high-strength steel rods or flexible tendons. These tensioning elements are anchored to the foundation and run vertically through the wall. In some walls, they sit inside the cores of the masonry units. In others, they are placed between the masonry wythes, or layers.

后张法砌体墙采用螺纹高强钢棒或柔性钢索制成,这些钢棒或钢索锚固于基础,并在砌体单元的孔洞内或两个砌体叶层之间垂直延伸。

墙体施工完成后,待砂浆固化,利用特殊的液压千斤顶将钢绞线紧紧拉伸,使其受力张拉。随后,使用能够夹紧钢绞线中钢丝的钢制夹具将其锚固。

而螺纹钢筋则通过拧紧与安装在墙体顶部的钢板相接触的螺母来进行张拉。

这种张拉在墙体中诱导出显著的竖向压向预应力,其数值远高于墙体自重及作用在墙体上的外部荷载所产生的应力。

墙体中产生的这种压应力可增强其抵抗风荷载和地震荷载所引起的拉力的强度。

因此,后张拉砌体墙相比传统的配筋砌体墙能够实现更薄的墙体构造,有助于增加室内使用空间。
