Beobachtung tritt als ein stetiger Prozess während der klinischen Begegnung. Viele der im Verfahren aufgeführten Artikel sind in der Regel gleichzeitig fertig und wenn Möglichkeiten sich präsentieren. Das Verfahren werden die Komponenten der Beobachtung markiert, aber soll keine bevorzugte Reihenfolge vorschlagen.
1. allgemeine Umfrage
<ol>
	<li>Beachten Sie den allgemeinen Zustand der Gesundheit des Patienten. Steht im Einklang mit der angegebene Alter der Patientin aussehen? Erscheint der Patient Fit und gesund oder schwach und gebrechlich?</li>

	<li>Notieren Sie sich Kleidung, Schmuck, Tätowierungen, Pflege, Hygiene und andere Features, die Einblick in die medizinischen, sozialen und emotionalen Situation des Patienten liefern können.</li>
	<li>Beachten Sie irgendwelche Anzeichen von Pathologie, die möglicherweise offensichtlich auf allgemeine Beobachtung, wie Hautveränderungen, abnormale Fettverteilung, Anhörung Defizite, Muskelatrophie, Gerüche.</li>
</ol>
(2) Organ-spezifische Beobachtung

(3) Haut Prüfung
Detailprüfung ist die Hauptkomponente der Haut-Prüfung. Eine komplette Hautpflege-Prüfung umfasst Inspektion aller vorderen, hinteren und seitlichen Körperoberflächen und Schleimhäute. Inspektion von bestimmten Bereichen erfordert Manipulation zur Prüfung durchgeführt werden. Dazu zählen Haare, Kopfhaut, Warzenfortsatzes Prozesse, posterior Ohrmuscheln, externe Auditory Kanäle, Nasenlöchern, Achselhöhle, Nägel, palpebrale Bindehaut, Mundschleimhaut, minderwertigen Aspekte der Brüste, Haut zugrunde liegt ein Pannus, Oberflächen von Genitalien, vaginale Schleimhaut und gluteal Spalte.

	<li>Achten Sie auf die Art, wie, die Sie sich im Beisein des Patienten fühlen, wie dies diagnostisch hilfreich, vor allem in Bezug auf psychiatrische Erkrankung nachweisen kann. Beobachtung und Kontrolle ist grundlegend für körperliche Untersuchung und beginnt mit den ersten Punkt des Kontaktes mit dem Patienten. Während der Beobachtung und Kontrolle oft synonym verwendet werden, ist die Beobachtung ein allgemeiner Begriff, der bezieht sich auf den sorgsamen Umgang mit Sinnen, Informationen zu sammeln. Beobachtung und Inspektion sind grundlegend für jede klinische Untersuchung. Allgemeine Beobachtungen beginnen beim ersten Kontakt mit einem Patienten und setzen sich während der gesamten klinischen Begegnung fort, auch wenn nur ein Gespräch mit dem Patienten geführt wird. Erklären Sie dem Patienten zunächst den Zweck der Inspektion und holen Sie seine Zustimmung ein. Wie bereits erwähnt, beinhaltet dies eine visuelle Beobachtung von Körperoberflächen, um sie auf Anomalien zu überprüfen. Bei einer umfassenden Hautuntersuchung ist eine Inspektion aller vorderen, lateralen und hinteren Körperoberflächen und Schleimhäute notwendig. Bei der Untersuchung der Kopfhaut muss ein Arzt möglicherweise durch das Haar des Patienten manipulieren, um die Oberfläche freizulegen. Clinical observation is the starting point of a physical examination and begins at the first contact with a patient. Observation is a broad term for using the senses carefully to gather information. Inspection is a narrower term. It refers to what can be seen with the eyes, especially on the surface of the body, rather than to behavior.

Skilled clinicians use more than sight when they examine a patient. They also rely on touch, through palpation and percussion, and on hearing, through auscultation and percussion. Smell can add useful clues as well. It may point to poor personal hygiene, substance use, or metabolic diseases.

Taste is mostly a historical part of medicine. For many centuries, diabetes mellitus was even diagnosed by the sweet taste of urine. Over time, clinicians also develop a sixth sense, often called gut instinct. This skill comes from deliberate practice on thousands of patients over many years. It is based largely on bedside observations and can help predict serious illness.
