Bone Structure

Innerhalb des Skelettsystems kann die Struktur eines Knochens oder Knochengewebes in einem langen Knochen wie dem Femur exemplarisch dargestellt werden, in dem es zwei Arten von Knochengewebe gibt: kortikales und spongiöses.
 Über dem kortikalen oder kompakten Knochen befindet sich eine Membran namens Periost, die Bindegewebe, Kapillaren und Nerven enthält.
 Die angrenzende äußere feste Schicht entlang der Diaphyse, der Schaft, bildet eine dichte, schützende Hülle um den Markkanal, der Hohlraum, in der gelbes Knochenmark gespeichert ist, das hauptsächlich aus Fettzellen besteht.
 Dieser Raum ist auch mit einer dünnen Auskleidung bedeckt, dem Endosteum, in dem Knochenwachstum, Knochengeweberemodellierung und Reparatur stattfinden.
 Innerhalb der kompakten Schicht befinden sich Osteone, strukturelle Einheiten, die in konzentrischen Ringen angeordnet sind, die als Lamellen bezeichnet werden und Osteoblasten enthalten, Zellen, die für die Knochenbildung und das Wachstum wichtig sind.
 Diese Zellen reifen schließlich zu Osteozyten im Hohlraum, der Lakuna.
 Durch die Mitte jedes Osteons verläuft der Havers-Kanal, der mehr Blut und Lymphgefäße sowie Nervenfasern enthält.
 In Richtung der abgerundeten Enden des langen Knochens der Epiphyse, befindet sich die zweite Art von Knochengewebe, welche als Trabekelsystem oder Spongiosa bekannt ist.
 Diese innere Schicht besteht aus einem wabenartigen Netzwerk von Trabekeln, gruppierten Anordnungen, die sich entlang der Linien der Spannungspunkte bilden, um die Festigkeit bei minimaler Masse zu maximieren.
 Zwischen jeder trabekulären Pore befindet sich rotes Knochenmark, das hämatopoetische Stammzellen enthält, die sich zu roten und weißen Blutkörperchen und Blutplättchen formen, die letztendlich in das Kreislauf- und Lymphsystem gelangen.

Im Skelettsystem kann die Struktur eines Knochens oder Knochengewebes in einem langen Knochen wie dem Oberschenkelknochen veranschaulicht werden. Dort gibt es zwei Arten von Knochengewebe: Substantia corticalis und Substantia spongiosa.
 
 <h4>Substantia corticalis</h4>
 
 Die Kortikalis (Substantia corticalis) wird von einer Membran bedeckt, die Periost genannt wird und Bindegewebe, Kapillaren und Nerven enthält. Die äußere, feste Schicht, welche sich entlang an der Diaphyse (Knochenschaft) befindet, bildet eine dichte Schutzhülle um die Markhöhle. Dies ist der Hohlraum, der gelbes Knochenmark speichert, das hauptsächlich aus Fettzellen besteht. Dieser Raum ist ebenfalls mit einer dünnen Schicht (Endost) bedeckt. Im Endost finden das Knochenwachstum, der Umbau und die Reparatur statt.
 
 Innerhalb der dichten Schicht der Kortikalis befinden sich Osteone. Dabei handelt es sich um Struktureinheiten, die in konzentrischen Ringen angeordnet, Lamellen genannt werden und Osteoblasten enthalten. Osteoblasten sind Zellen, die für die Knochenbildung und das Knochenwachstum entscheidend sind. Diese Zellen differenzieren sich schließlich zu Osteozyten in dem Hohlraum (Lakune). Durch das Zentrum jedes Osteon verläuft der Havers-Kanal, der mehr Blut-und Lymphgefäße sowie Nervenfasern enthält.
 
 <h4>Substantia spongiosa</h4>
 
 Die Epiphyse, die an den runden Enden eines Knochens liegt, ist der zweite Typ von Knochengewebe und wird spongiosa oder schwammartiger Knochen genannt. Diese innere Schicht besteht aus einem wabenförmigen Netzwerk von Knochenbälkchen (Trabekel). Dies sind gruppierte Anordnungen, die sich entlang der Linien der Belastungspunkte bilden, dadurch maximieren sie die Stabilität mit minimaler Masse. Zwischen jeder Trabekelpore befindet sich rotes Knochenmark, das hämatopoetische Stammzellen enthält, die sich zu roten und weißen Blutkörperchen und Thrombozyten differenzieren. Diese werden schließlich in das Kreislauf -und Lymphsystem übertragen.

Inside a long bone, osseous tissue is organized into two main types: cortical bone and cancellous bone. A femur is a clear example of this structure. The bone also includes outer coverings and inner spaces that support growth, repair, and blood cell production.

Cortical bone, also called compact bone, forms the dense outer layer along the diaphysis, or shaft. It is covered by the periosteum, a membrane with connective tissue, capillaries, and nerves. Beneath the cortical layer is the medullary canal, a cavity that stores yellow bone marrow, which is made mainly of fat cells. This space is lined by the endosteum, where bone growth, remodeling, and repair take place.

Within cortical bone are osteons, the structural units of compact bone. Each osteon is arranged in concentric rings called lamellae and contains osteoblasts, which are important for bone formation and growth. As these cells mature, they become osteocytes in small spaces called lacunae. A Haversian canal runs through the center of each osteon and carries blood and lymphatic vessels, along with nerve fibers.

Toward the rounded ends of the long bone, or epiphyses, is cancellous bone, also called spongy bone. This inner layer has a honeycomb-like network of trabeculae that line up along stress points to give strength with less mass. The spaces between the trabeculae contain red bone marrow, which has hematopoietic stem cells that develop into red and white blood cells and platelets before entering the circulatory and lymphatic systems.
