Bei einer nukleophilen Substitutionsreaktion nimmt die verlassende Gruppe, wenn die heterolytische Spaltung der Bindung zwischen dem Kohlenstoff und der verlassenden Gruppe stattfindet, das Elektronenpaar mit sich und verlässt das Kohlenstoffzentrum mit einer positiven Ladung.
