Conservation of Energy: Application

Erinnern wir uns an den Energieerhaltungssatz zur Lösung eines numerischen Problems.
Ein Felsen mit einer Masse von 20 Kilogramm befindet sich am Rand einer Klippe in einer Höhe von 5 Metern. Nachdem er die Klippe hinuntergerutscht ist, beträgt seine Geschwindigkeit 9 Meter pro Sekunde. Wie wird sich die innere Energie des Gesteins verändern?
Hier sind die Masse des Gesteins, die Höhe des Gesteins über dem Boden und die Geschwindigkeit des Gesteins nach dem Abrutschen bekannte Größen, und die Änderung der inneren Energie ist eine unbekannte Größe.
Anfangs ist die kinetische Energie des Gesteins Null, während die potentielle Energie, die aus dem Gewicht und der Höhe des Gesteins berechnet wird, 980 Joule beträgt.
Nach dem Gleiten hat das Gestein keine potentielle Energie und die kinetische Energie, die aus der Masse und der Geschwindigkeit berechnet wird, beträgt 810 Joule.
Setzt man schließlich die Werte der Änderung der kinetischen und potentiellen Energie in den Energieerhaltungssatz ein, erhält man die Änderung der inneren Energie des Gesteins als 170 Joule.

energieerhaltung: anwendung

Beim Lösen von Problemen mit dem Gesetz der Energieerhaltung sollte das zu untersuchende Objekt (System) zuerst identifiziert werden. Oft untersuchen wir in Anwendungen der Energieerhaltung mehr als einen Körper gleichzeitig. Zweitens sollten alle auf das Objekt einwirkenden Kräfte identifiziert werden und bestimmt werden, ob jede Kraft, die Arbeit verrichtet, konservativ ist. Wenn eine nicht-konservative Kraft (z. B. Reibung) Arbeit verrichtet, dann wird die mechanische Energie nicht erhalten. Das System muss dann mit nicht-konservativer Arbeit analysiert werden. Drittens sollte für jede Kraft, die Arbeit verrichtet, ein Bezugspunkt gewählt und die potentielle Energie-Funktion für diese Kraft bestimmt werden. Die Bezugspunkte für die verschiedenen potentiellen Energien müssen nicht am selben Ort sein. Schließlich sollte das Prinzip der mechanischen Energieerhaltung durch die Gleichsetzung der Summe der kinetischen Energien und potentiellen Energien an jedem interessanten Punkt angewendet werden.

Beachten Sie, dass Systeme im Allgemeinen aus mehreren Teilchen oder Objekten bestehen. Die Erhaltung der mechanischen Energie ist jedoch ein grundlegendes Naturgesetz und gilt für jedes System. Energy conservation problem-solving uses a clear set of steps. First, identify the system you want to study. In many cases, that system includes more than one body at the same time.

Next, identify the forces acting on the object and decide whether each force is conservative. A conservative force is one whose work can be described with potential energy. If a non-conservative force such as friction does work, then mechanical energy is not conserved, and the system must be analyzed with non-conservative work.

For every force that does work, choose a reference point and write the potential energy function for that force. The reference points do not have to be at the same location for each potential energy term. Then apply mechanical energy conservation by setting the total kinetic energy and potential energy equal at each point of interest.

Systems often contain more than one particle or object, but the law still applies. For that case, include the kinetic and potential energies of all particles. Also include the work done by all non-conservative forces acting on them.
