Ein starrer Körper verformt sich unter dem Einfluss äußerer Kräfte nicht.
Betrachten wir ein Karussell, das einer äußeren Kraft F in einem senkrechten radialen Abstand r ausgesetzt ist, was das Moment einer Kraft um den Punkt O ergibt.
Wenn mehrere Kräfte auf das Karussell wirken, erhält man die Gleichgewichtsbedingung, wenn die Summe aller äußeren Kräfte, die auf das Karussell einwirken, Null ist.
Die andere Gleichgewichtsbedingung besagt, dass die Summe aller Momente um den Punkt O gleich Null sein muss.
Wenn das Moment am Punkt A gemessen wird, kann es als Summe des Moments am Punkt O und des Kreuzprodukts aus senkrechter Entfernung und der aufgewendeten Kraft ausgedrückt werden.
Diese Bedingungen stellen sicher, dass der Körper im statischen Gleichgewicht keiner Translations- oder Rotationsbewegung unterliegt.
Dabei werden nur äußere Kräfte berücksichtigt, da die Schnittgrößen innerhalb des starren Körpers gleich groß sind und in entgegengesetzte Richtungen wirken, so dass sie sich aufgrund des dritten Newtonschen Bewegungsgesetzes gegenseitig aufheben.

Conditions of Equilibrium

Gleichgewicht bezieht sich auf einen Zustand, in dem ein starrer Körper keiner translatorischen oder rotatorischen Bewegung unterliegt. Dieser Zustand wird erreicht, wenn die Kraft und das Moment, die auf einen starren Körper wirken, gleich null sind. Wenn das System der externen Kräfte ein Nettoergebnis gleich null ergibt, wird der starre Körper als im Gleichgewicht befindlich betrachtet. Interne Kräfte werden bei den Bedingungen des Gleichgewichts nicht berücksichtigt, da sie im Körper in gleichen und entgegengesetzten Paaren auftreten und sich dadurch effektiv gegenseitig aufheben. Als Ergebnis tragen diese internen Kräfte nicht zur Gesamtbewegung oder Änderung der Bewegung des starren Körpers bei. Das Gleichgewicht wird durch das Gleichgewicht der externen Kräfte und Momente bestimmt, die auf den Körper wirken, da sie für die Verursachung von translatorischer oder rotatorischer Bewegung verantwortlich sind. Die notwendigen und hinreichenden Bedingungen für das Gleichgewicht können bestimmt werden, indem die resultierende Kraft und das Moment gleich null gesetzt werden. Zusätzlich können die Vektorgleichungen durch sechs skalare Gleichungen ersetzt werden, indem jede Kraft und jedes Moment in ihre rechteckigen Komponenten aufgelöst werden. Dies impliziert, dass die Komponenten der externen Kräfte in den Richtungen x, y und z ausgeglichen sind und die Momente der externen Kräfte um die Achsen x, y und z ebenfalls ausgeglichen sind. Rigid body equilibrium depends on a balance of external forces and moments. A rigid body is in equilibrium when it has no translational motion and no rotational motion. This happens when the net force and the net couple acting on the body are both zero.

Internal forces are not used when checking equilibrium. These forces act in equal and opposite pairs inside the body, so they cancel each other. Because of that, they do not affect the overall motion or change in motion of the rigid body.

The external forces and moments determine whether the body stays balanced. These are the forces that can cause translation or rotation. The necessary and sufficient conditions for equilibrium are found by setting the resultant force and the resultant moment equal to zero.

The vector equations for equilibrium can also be written as six scalar equations. Each force and moment is resolved into rectangular components. This means the external force components in the x, y, and z directions must balance, and the moments about the x, y, and z axes must also balance.

To write equilibrium equations for a rigid body, first identify all forces acting on it. Then draw a free-body diagram. The reactions from supports must also be included. Correctly identifying each reaction helps solve unknown forces and reactions in structures.
