Method of Joints

Die Methode der Verbindungen ist eine Technik, die zur Analyse der Kräfte in strukturellen Fachwerken verwendet wird und auf dem Prinzip des Gleichgewichts basiert.
Unter der Annahme, dass die Fachwerkstäbe durch reibungsfreie Stifte verbunden sind, können die Kräfte an jedem Gelenk unter Berücksichtigung des Gleichgewichts der auf dieses Gelenk wirkenden Kräfte bestimmt werden.
Da sich ebene Fachwerkkörper in derselben Ebene befinden, wird jede Verbindung einem koplanaren und gleichzeitigen Kraftsystem ausgesetzt.
Um die Methode der Verbindungen anzuwenden, identifizieren Sie alle Verbindungen im Fachwerk und beschriften Sie sie.
Isolieren und zeichnen Sie als Nächstes ein Freikörperdiagramm für jedes Gelenk, das alle Kräfte zeigt, die auf dieses Gelenk wirken. Basierend auf der aufgewendeten Kraft werden die Zug- und Druckkräfte, die auf die Verbindung im Fachwerk ausgeübt werden, als Zug- bzw. Druckkräfte bezeichnet.
Es wird immer davon ausgegangen, dass die unbekannten Stabkräfte am Gelenk unter Zug stehen.
Lösen Sie schließlich die unbekannten Kräfte, indem Sie die Kräfte, die in horizontaler und vertikaler Richtung auf dieses Gelenk wirken, addieren und das Gleichgewichtsprinzip anwenden.

Die Methode der Gelenke ist eine häufig verwendete Technik zur Analyse der Kräfte in strukturellen Fachwerken. Die Methode basiert auf dem Prinzip des Gleichgewichts, welches voraussetzt, dass die Fachwerkmitglieder durch reibungsfreie Stifte verbunden sind. Die Kräfte an jedem Gelenk können bestimmt werden, indem das Gleichgewicht der auf dieses Gelenk wirkenden Kräfte betrachtet wird. Da die Fachwerkmitglieder in der gleichen Ebene liegen, ist jedes Gelenk einem ebenen und gleichzeitigen Kräftesystem ausgesetzt. Um die Methode der Gelenke anzuwenden, ist der erste Schritt, alle Gelenke im Fachwerk zu identifizieren und sie zu beschriften. Anschließend wird jedes Gelenk isoliert und eine Freikörperdiagramm von jedem Gelenk gezeichnet, welches alle auf dieses Gelenk wirkenden Kräfte zeigt. Die nach außen und nach innen wirkenden Kräfte auf das Gelenk im Fachwerk werden als Zug- und Druckkräfte bezeichnet. Die unbekannten Mitgliedskräfte am Gelenk werden immer als Zugkräfte angenommen. Um die unbekannten Kräfte zu lösen, werden die auf das Gelenk in horizontaler und vertikaler Richtung wirkenden Kräfte addiert und das Gleichgewichtsprinzip angewendet. Dieses Prinzip besagt, dass die Summe aller Kräfte in horizontaler und vertikaler Richtung gleich null sein muss. Durch das Lösen der unbekannten Kräfte können die Kräfte aller Mitglieder des Fachwerks bestimmt werden. Die Methode der Gelenke ist eine leistungsstarke und effektive Technik zur Analyse von Kräften in strukturellen Fachwerken. Indem das Fachwerk in isolierte Gelenke aufgeteilt wird und die Kräfte an jedem Gelenk gelöst werden, können Tragwerksingenieure sicherstellen, dass ihre Strukturen sicher und langlebig sind.

The method of joints is used to find the forces in structural trusses. It relies on equilibrium, which means the forces at a joint must balance. In this model, the truss members are connected by frictionless pins.

For a plane truss, the members lie in the same plane. That means each joint has a coplanar and concurrent force system. The analysis begins by identifying and labeling all the joints in the truss.

Next, each joint is isolated and shown in a free-body diagram. This diagram includes every force acting on that joint. The pull forces are tensile forces, and the push forces are compressive forces. Any unknown member force is first assumed to act in tension.

The unknown forces are then solved by adding the forces in the horizontal and vertical directions. The principle of equilibrium is applied so the sum of forces in each direction equals zero. By solving joint by joint, the forces in all truss members can be found. This makes the method of joints a useful way for engineers to check whether a structure is safe and durable.
