Work Done by Many Forces

Stellen Sie sich einen Gepäcktraktor vor, der einen Gepäckwagen mit einer Kraft von 10.000 N in einem Winkel von 30 Grad zieht. Wenn der Wagen im gezogenen Zustand eine Reibung von 2.000 N aufweist, was wird dann am Wagen geleistet, um ihn in einer geraden Linie um 10 m zu verschieben?
Es wird ein Freikörperdiagramm gezeichnet, um ein klares Verständnis der Kräfte zu erhalten.
Die Kräfte senkrecht zur Bewegung des Wagens verursachen keine Verschiebung des Wagens, so dass diese Kräfte keine Arbeit leisten. 
Die Kräfte in x-Richtung sind die Komponente aus der Zugkraft und der Reibungskraft, die vektoriell summiert werden.
Die gesamte geleistete Arbeit ist die resultierende Kraft entlang der Verschiebung multipliziert mit der Verschiebung.
Alternativ kann die von jeder Truppe geleistete Arbeit zuerst berechnet und dann summiert werden.
Die Arbeit, die von den senkrechten Kräften geleistet wird, ist Null. Die Zugkraft und die Reibungskraft stehen nicht senkrecht zur Verschiebung und tragen so zur Gesamtarbeit bei.

Die Gesamtarbeit an einem Objekt, das von mehreren Kräften beeinflusst wird, kann mit zwei Methoden berechnet werden, die zum gleichen Ergebnis führen. Bei der ersten Methode wird zuerst die Arbeit jeder einzelnen Kraft berechnet. Anschließend werden diese Werte algebraisch summiert, um die Gesamtarbeit aller Kräfte zu berechnen. Bei der zweiten Methode wird die resultierende Kraft zuerst durch eine Vektoraddition aller Kräfte berechnet.Anschließend wird die von dieser Kraft geleistete Arbeit ermittelt.

Da Kräfte, die senkrecht zur Verschiebung stehen, keine Arbeit verrichten, tragen sie nicht zur geleisteten Arbeit am Objekt bei. Sie können in der Berechnung der ersten Methode einfriert werden. Bei der zweiten Methode müssen sie jedoch bei der Berechnung des resultierenden Kräftevektors zuersksichtigt werden, und derst dann wird ihr Beitrag als null erkannt.

Wenn sich entgegengesetzte Kräfte auf den Schwerpunkt des Objekts auswirken, tragen sie in der ersten Methode sowohl positive als auch negative Arbeit bei. Durch die algebraische Summierung wird festgestellt, ob die Gesamtarbeit am Objekt positiv oder negativ ist, abhängig von der Größe der Kräfte. Bei der zweiten Methode wird zuerst die resultierende Kraft ermittelt und festgestellt, ob sie in Richtung oder entgegen der Verschiebung wirkt. Dann wird die Arbeit ermittelt und je nach Winkel zur Verschiebung als positiv oder negativ bestimmt.
