Stellen Sie sich eine Last vor, die an eine Wechselstromquelle angeschlossen ist. Die Spannung und die Ströme an dieser Last können im Frequenzbereich dargestellt werden.
Die komplexe Leistung ist definiert als die Hälfte des Produkts aus der Spannung und dem komplexen Konjugat des Stroms.
Die Größe der komplexen Potenz wird als Scheinleistung bezeichnet.
Bei der Angabe komplexer Leistung in rechteckiger Form stellt der reale Teil die durchschnittliche Leistung dar, während der imaginäre Teil die Blindleistung darstellt.
Komplexe Leistung kann auch in Form der Impedanz ausgedrückt werden, d. h. dem Verhältnis von Spannung zu Strom.
Wenn man den resistiven und den reaktanzartigen Teil der Impedanz trennt und diese mit dem erhaltenen komplexen Leistungsausdruck vergleicht, erhält man einen Ausdruck, der die Impedanz einschließt.
Der reale Teil der Leistung ist die einzige nutzbare Leistung, die an die Last abgegeben wird.
Die Blindleistung spiegelt den Energieaustausch zwischen der Quelle und der Last wider. Er ist Null für resistive, negativ für kapazitive Lasten und positiv für induktive Lasten.
Die komplexe, reelle und reaktive Leistung kann in Form eines Dreiecks, dem sogenannten Leistungsdreieck, visualisiert werden.

Komplexe Leistung wird als Multiplikation der Spannung und der komplex konjugierten Größe des Stroms definiert. Die Größe dieser Leistung, bekannt als Scheinleistung, wird in Voltampere (VA) gemessen. Insbesondere entspricht der Winkel der komplexen Leistung dem Leistungsfaktorwinkel.

Komplexe Leistung ist das Produkt des Effektivspannungszeigers und der komplex konjugierten Größe des Effektivstromzeigers. Da es sich um eine komplexe Größe handelt, wird ihr Realteil als Wirkleistung P und ihr Imaginärteil als Blindleistung Q bezeichnet. Complex Power

Power triangle and complex power help describe how an AC load uses energy. Engineers use complex power to capture the combined effect of parallel loads. It gives a full picture of the power consumed by a specific load.

Complex power is found by multiplying voltage by the complex conjugate of current. Using rms values, it is written with the rms voltage phasor and the complex conjugate of the rms current phasor. It can also be written in terms of load impedance.

The magnitude of complex power is called apparent power. Apparent power is measured in volt-amperes, or VA. The angle of complex power is the same as the power factor angle.

Because complex power is a complex number, its real part is real power P and its imaginary part is reactive power Q. Real and reactive power can be read directly from the voltage and current phasors. This shows how complex power stores all the important power information for a load.

Reactive power describes energy transfer between the source and the load. For resistive loads, reactive power is zero. For capacitive loads, it is negative, and for inductive loads, it is positive.

These power terms are often shown in a triangle called the power triangle. The triangle includes complex power, real power, and reactive power. This visual model makes the relationships between the power quantities easier to understand.
