Stellen Sie sich zwei Platten vor, die durch eine Schraube verbunden sind. Die Schraube übt eine Schnittgröße auf eine der Platten aus. Diese Schnittgröße ist gleichbedeutend mit der Kraft, die die Platte auf die Schraube ausübt, aber ihr entgegengesetzt.
Dabei ist die Schnittgröße nicht singulär, sondern das Ergebnis zahlreicher kleinerer Kräfte, die sich über die Innenfläche des Halbzylinders verteilen.
Aufgrund der Komplexität der kleineren Kräfte und der entsprechenden Spannungen wird zur Vereinfachung oft eine mittlere Nennspannung, die sogenannte Lagerspannung, verwendet.
Die Lagerspannung wird berechnet, indem die Schnittgröße durch die Fläche des Rechtecks dividiert wird, die die Projektion der Schraube auf den Plattenquerschnitt darstellt. Dieser Bereich ist das Produkt aus der Dicke der Platte und dem Durchmesser der Schraube.
Das Konzept der Lagerspannung ist entscheidend für die Gewährleistung sicherer und effizienter Konstruktionen und erhöht somit die Lebensdauer der Struktur.

Bearing Stress

Unter Lagerspannung versteht man den Kontaktdruck zwischen zwei getrennten Körpern. Um dies zu veranschaulichen, stellen Sie sich einen Bolzen vor, der durch eine Platte gestoßen wird. Der Bolzen übt eine Kraft auf die Platte aus, die eine gleiche, aber entgegengesetzte Kraft zurück auf den Bolzen ausübt. Diese Kraft ist nicht nur eine einzelne Einheit, sondern eine Ansammlung zahlreicher kleinerer Kräfte, die über die Kontaktfläche zwischen Bolzen und Platte verteilt sind.

Aufgrund der Komplexität dieser Mikrokräfte wird von Ingenieuren zur Vereinfachung häufig ein Durchschnittswert, die so genannte Lagerspannung, verwendet. Die Lagerspannung wird ermittelt, indem die auf die Schraube ausgeübte Last durch die projizierte Fläche der Schraube auf der Platte dividiert wird.
