Binary Fission

Die binäre Spaltung ist ein ungeschlechtlicher Fortpflanzungsprozess, bei dem sich prokaryotische Zellen wie Bakterien teilen, um zwei genetisch identische Tochterzellen zu bilden. Der Prozess umfasst mehrere Schritte. Der erste Schritt ist die DNA-Replikation. Es beginnt, wenn sich das zirkuläre DNA-Molekül am Ursprung der Replikation oder oriC abwickelt. Dann synthetisieren DNA-Polymerasen zwei komplementäre Stränge durch bidirektionale Replikation. Die Replikation wird in entgegengesetzte Richtungen fortgesetzt, bis der Endpunkt erreicht ist, wobei zwei identische Kopien erzeugt werden. Anschließend beginnt sich die Zelle zu verlängern, da sich die beiden neu gebildeten DNA-Moleküle in Richtung entgegengesetzter Pole der Zelle bewegen. Die zytoplasmatischen Komponenten beginnen sich ebenfalls zu duplizieren. Als nächstes beginnt sich das Zentrum der länglichen Zelle zu verengen. Dieser Prozess wird durch das FtsZ-Protein angetrieben, das einen Z-Ring in der Nähe der Zytoplasmamembran anbaut und die Teilungsstelle markiert. Der Z-Ring wird durch die Verankerung von Proteinen an der Membran verankert und rekrutiert zusätzliche Teilungsproteine, um das Divisom zu bilden. Das Divisom synthetisiert eine neue Peptidoglykan-Zellwand und bildet ein Septum, was zur Bildung von zwei Tochterzellen führt.

DNA-Replikation und Trennung
Der Prozess beginnt mit der Replikation des bakteriellen Chromosoms. Das zirkul&#228;re DNA-Molek&#252;l &#246;ffnet sich an einem spezifischen Replikationsursprung, der als oriC bezeichnet wird. DNA-Polymerasen synthetisieren dann bidirektional komplement&#228;re Str&#228;nge, bis die Replikation die Terminatorsequenz erreicht. Dieser Mechanismus gew&#228;hrleistet die Bildung von zwei identischen Kopien des genetischen Materials. Gleichzeitig werden die neu gebildeten DNA-Molek&#252;le durch spezielle Proteine zu den gegen&#252;berliegenden Zellpolen geleitet. Diese Trennung verhindert eine &#220;berlagerung des genetischen Materials w&#228;hrend der Zellteilung.
Zellelongation und Duplikation des Zytoplasmas
W&#228;hrend sich die DNA trennt, verl&#228;ngert sich die Bakterienzelle, um das duplizierte genetische und zytoplasmatische Material aufzunehmen. Verschiedene zellul&#228;re Organellen und zytoplasmatische Bestandteile werden ebenfalls repliziert, um sicherzustellen, dass jede Tochterzelle &#252;ber alle f&#252;r ein unabh&#228;ngiges &#220;berleben notwendigen Komponenten verf&#252;gt.
Teilung und Bildung der Tochterzellen
Die Zellteilung wird durch die Assemblierung des Proteins FtsZ zu einem Z-Ring in der Zellmitte eingeleitet. Verankerungsproteine stabilisieren diese Struktur und weitere Proteine werden rekrutiert, um das Divisom, einen Komplex, der f&#252;r die Zellteilung verantwortlich ist, zu bilden. Das Divisom koordiniert die Synthese neuer Peptidoglykanschichten und den Aufbau eines Septums. Dieses Septum w&#228;chst nach innen und teilt schlie&#223;lich die Zelle in zwei genetisch identische Tochterzellen. Die pr&#228;zise Regulation der Septumbildung ist entscheidend f&#252;r die Aufrechterhaltung der Zellintegrit&#228;t w&#228;hrend der Teilung.

Binary fission is the main way prokaryotes, such as bacteria, reproduce asexually. It produces two daughter cells that are genetically identical. When conditions are favorable, this process helps bacterial populations grow quickly.

The process starts when the bacterial chromosome is copied. The circular DNA unwinds at a specific origin of replication called oriC. DNA polymerases then build matching strands in both directions until replication reaches the terminus. This creates two identical copies of the genetic material.

At the same time, the new DNA molecules move toward opposite poles of the cell. Protein-based segregation helps guide this movement. This keeps the genetic material from overlapping as the cell prepares to divide.

As the DNA separates, the bacterial cell elongates. The cell also duplicates its cytoplasmic contents and other cellular components. This gives each future daughter cell the machinery it needs to function on its own.

Cell division begins when the FtsZ protein forms a Z-ring at the middle of the cell. Anchoring proteins stabilize this ring, and more proteins join to form the divisome. The divisome is the protein complex that carries out cell division.

The divisome directs the formation of new peptidoglycan and builds a septum, which is the new dividing wall. The septum grows inward until it splits the cell into two daughter cells. Careful control of septum formation helps keep the cell intact during division. Binary fission shows how efficiently prokaryotes can reproduce and spread under favorable conditions.
