Le mouvement curviligne est un type de mouvement dans lequel une particule ou un objet se déplace le long d’une trajectoire courbe impliquant des changements de direction.
Si l’objet se trouve au point A, son vecteur de position est défini à l’aide d’un référentiel fixe. Ici, le rapport du vecteur position avec sa norme représente le vecteur unitaire dans la direction du vecteur position.
Au fur et à mesure que l’objet avance, sa position change avec le temps. Le vecteur vitesse de l’objet est calculé en prenant la dérivée temporelle du vecteur position. Ici, pour le référentiel fixe, la direction des vecteurs unitaires ne change pas avec le temps.
Ici, le vecteur vitesse peut être exprimé à l’aide de composantes rectangulaires, et en le divisant par l’intensité des vecteurs vitesse, on obtient le vecteur unitaire le long de la direction du vecteur vitesse.
En prenant la dérivée temporelle du vecteur vitesse, on obtient le vecteur accélération de l’objet en composantes rectangulaires.
En divisant le vecteur accélération par son amplitude on obtient le vecteur unité le long de la direction du vecteur accélération.

Le mouvement curviligne caractérise le mouvement d'une particule ou d'un objet le long d'une trajectoire courbe, particulièrement évident lorsqu'on imagine une voiture qui roule sur une route sinueuse. Si la voiture démarre au point A, son vecteur de position est établi dans un cadre de référence fixe, où le rapport du vecteur de position à sa grandeur signifie le vecteur unitaire pointant dans la direction du vecteur de position.

Au fur et à mesure que la voiture avance, sa position évolue au fil du temps. Quantifier la vitesse de la voiture implique de calculer la dérivée temporelle du vecteur de position. Notamment, dans le cadre de référence, la direction des vecteurs unitaires reste constante dans le temps.

Le vecteur vitesse, exprimant la vitesse et la direction de la voiture, peut être découpé en composantes rectangulaires. En divisant ce vecteur par sa magnitude, on découvre le vecteur unitaire dans la direction de la vitesse de la voiture, à l’image de la trajectoire de la voiture sur la route sinueuse.

De plus, prendre la dérivée temporelle du vecteur vitesse dévoile le vecteur accélération, représentant la façon dont la vitesse ou la direction de la voiture changent avec le temps. La normalisation de ce vecteur d'accélération par sa grandeur donne le vecteur unitaire de l'accélération de la voiture, révélant la direction de l'accélération de la voiture. Essentiellement, ces principes fournissent un cadre conceptuel pour comprendre les subtilités d’une voiture engagée dans un mouvement curviligne.

Curvilinear motion describes an object moving along a curved path. A car on a winding road is a clear example. The object’s position is shown with a position vector in a fixed frame of reference. The unit vector for that position comes from the position vector divided by its magnitude.

As the object moves, its position changes with time. The velocity vector is found by taking the time derivative of the position vector. In a fixed frame of reference, the directions of the unit vectors do not change with time. The velocity vector can also be split into rectangular components, which shows its speed and direction in a clear way.

The unit vector for velocity is found by dividing the velocity vector by its magnitude. This unit vector points in the same direction as the object’s motion, just like the car’s heading on the curved road. The acceleration vector comes from the time derivative of the velocity vector. It shows how the car’s speed or direction changes over time.

The acceleration vector can also be normalized by its magnitude to give the unit vector for acceleration. That unit vector shows the direction of the car’s acceleration. Together, the position, velocity, and acceleration vectors give a simple framework for understanding curvilinear motion.
