Instantaneous Velocity - I

La velocità media di un oggetto non può dirci quanto velocemente o in quale direzione l'oggetto si stava muovendo in un dato momento. Per identificare questo, abbiamo bisogno della velocità in un determinato istante di tempo o della velocità istantanea.
La velocità istantanea è il limite della velocità media quando l'intervallo di tempo si avvicina allo zero, o la derivata di x rispetto a t. Qui, la variabile x viene utilizzata per descrivere la posizione di un oggetto lungo un movimento unidimensionale. La velocità istantanea è una grandezza vettoriale e il simbolo vx viene utilizzato per la velocità istantanea lungo la direzione x.

Similmente alla velocità media, la velocità istantanea è un vettore con dimensioni di lunghezza per unità di tempo. La velocità istantanea può avere sia valori positivi che negativi. Un valore positivo della velocità istantanea implica un aumento di x e il movimento è nella direzione x- positiva. Un valore negativo implica la diminuzione di x e il movimento è in direzione x- negativa.

L'accelerazione istantanea è la grandezza della velocità istantanea. Per esempio, una particella avente velocità istantanea -10 m/s e un'altra con velocità istantanea di +10 m/s hanno la stessa accelerazione istantanea, ma viaggiano in direzioni opposte.

Instantaneous velocity describes how fast an object is moving at a specific instant. It gives the motion of a particle at one point in time or at one point along its path. Average velocity over a time interval cannot show this level of detail.

Instantaneous velocity, often written as v x , is the limit of average velocity as the elapsed time approaches zero. It can also be found as the derivative of x with respect to t . Like average velocity, it is a vector with dimensions of length per unit of time.

The sign of instantaneous velocity tells the direction of motion. A positive value means x is increasing, so the motion is in the positive x - direction. A negative value means x is decreasing, so the motion is in the negative x - direction.

Instantaneous speed is the magnitude of instantaneous velocity. A particle moving at -10 m/s and a particle moving at +10 m/s have the same instantaneous speed. However, they are moving in opposite directions.
