Il metodo Momento-area può essere implementato su una trave a sbalzo sotto un carico e un momento concentrati per identificare la pendenza e la deflessione.
Il processo inizia con il disegno del diagramma di corpo libero della trave e il calcolo delle reazioni all'estremità fissa.
Successivamente, viene disegnato il diagramma del momento flettente per determinare il punto in cui il momento è uguale a zero.
Quindi, viene disegnato il diagramma M/EI per identificare le aree corrispondenti ai segmenti AO e OB, assegnando segni positivi o negativi in base alla loro posizione rispetto all'asse x.
Il primo teorema dell'area del momento viene applicato per calcolare l'angolo tra le tangenti, mentre il secondo teorema dell'area del momento viene utilizzato per determinare la deviazione tangenziale, che è uguale al primo momento attorno a un asse verticale passante per B dell'area totale tra A e B.
Infine, viene determinata la deflessione in B, che è uguale alla deviazione tangenziale. La forma deviata della trave viene quindi abbozzata per la comprensione visiva.

Questo diagramma identifica le aree sotto la curva per i segmenti compresi tra punti in cui il momento flettente è pari a zero, assegnando segni positivi o negativi alle aree in base alla loro posizione rispetto all'asse-x.

Il primo teorema momento-area viene applicato per calcolare la pendenza in qualsiasi punto della trave integrando l'area sotto il diagramma M/EI tra due punti. Il secondo teorema momento-area viene quindi utilizzato per trovare la deflessione della trave, equiparandola al primo momento dell'area sotto il diagramma M/EI attorno ad un asse verticale passante per il punto finale.

Infine, viene disegnata la forma deviata della trave, fornendo una rappresentazione visiva dei risultati analitici e illustrando la flessione della trave nelle condizioni di carico imposte. Questo metodo offre informazioni precise sulle prestazioni strutturali delle travi a sbalzo.

The moment-area method is used in structural engineering to find the slope and deflection of a beam under load. It is especially useful for a cantilever beam with a concentrated load and a moment at the free end.

The analysis begins with a free-body diagram. This diagram helps calculate the reactions at the fixed end. After that, the bending moment diagram is drawn to show how the bending moment changes along the beam. Points where the bending moment is zero are important in this step.

Next, the M/EI diagram is constructed. In this diagram, M is the bending moment, E is the modulus of elasticity, and I is the moment of inertia of the beam cross-section. The second moment-area theorem is used to find deflection. It equals the first moment of the area under the M/EI diagram about a vertical axis through the endpoint.

The final step is to sketch the deflected shape of the beam. This gives a clear picture of how the beam bends under the applied load and moment. The method provides precise insight into the structural behavior of cantilever beams.
