Dato un segnale di ingresso e una risposta di uscita, la deconvoluzione può essere eseguita utilizzando la divisione polinomiale o metodi di algoritmo ricorsivo per produrre la risposta all'impulso.
Nell'approccio della divisione polinomiale, le sequenze sono viste come coefficienti di polinomi di ordine decrescente. Viene quindi eseguita una lunga divisione per ottenere la risposta all'impulso.
Nel metodo dell'algoritmo ricorsivo, la risposta di output è inizialmente definita come la somma di convoluzione, che può essere formulata come algoritmo ricorsivo. L'equazione viene semplificata impostando la variabile n a zero, consentendo di ottenere la risposta all'impulso per valori positivi di n.
Il numero di valutazioni necessarie per la risposta all'impulso è determinato sostituendo le lunghezze del segnale nella relazione data. Il valore finale di risposta all'impulso viene calcolato per il numero ottenuto.

Eseguendo una divisione lunga su questi polinomi, è possibile ottenere la risposta all'impulso. Questo metodo è semplice e fornisce un mezzo efficiente per determinare la risposta all'impulso quando la relazione input-output del sistema è espressa in forma polinomiale.





Un'altra tecnica efficace per la deconvoluzione è il metodo dell'algoritmo ricorsivo. Deconvolution

Deconvolution is a method for finding a system’s impulse response from known input and output signals. It is also called inverse filtering. This technique is useful when the system’s characteristics are not known directly and must be inferred from the signals that can be observed.

One common way to do deconvolution is polynomial division. In this approach, the input and output sequences are treated as coefficients of polynomials written in descending order. Long division is then used to divide the polynomials and recover the impulse response.

A second method uses a recursive algorithm. The output response is written as a convolution sum, and that sum is converted into a recursive form. By setting the variable n to zero, the equation is simplified, and the impulse response for positive values of n can be found.

This recursive method is especially helpful for long sequences because it lowers the amount of computation needed. The number of evaluations needed to find the impulse response depends on the lengths of the input and output signals. Those lengths are placed into a relation to calculate the required evaluations, and the final impulse response value can then be determined accurately. That result helps predict how the system will behave for different input conditions.
