Granプロットは、実際に終点まで滴定することなく、電位差滴定または酸-塩基滴定の当量または終点を予測できます。

滴定反応の進行を滴定液の体積の関数として追跡する通常の滴定データは、当量体積よりも小さい体積まで収集され、その後、線形形式に変換されます。

線形回帰後、直線は x 軸に線形に外挿され、等価点に到達するために必要な滴定液量が得られます。
