吸光光度法は、サンプルを透過した光がどれだけ化学物質に吸収されるかを分光光度計を利用して定量する測定法です。
透過した光の強度を測定することで、サンプルの溶質濃度を知ることができます。
サンプルへ入射する光は粒子の性質を持つ光子で構成されています。
光子がサンプル中の分子に衝突すると、その分子により光子がいくつか吸収され、光子数が減少するため、検出される光の強度が減少します。
