Dr. Chunqiao Liu is a professor at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC), Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU). He received a Ph.D. from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences followed by postdoctoral trainings in Carnegie Science and Johns Hopkins University. He worked at National Eye Institute (NEI) as a senior staff scientist and later joined Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center as a senior investigator and professor. His work focuses on Wnt signaling pathways, photoreceptor biology, and genetic mechanisms underlying visual disorders. He co-authored over 40 high-impact papers, including IOVS, Nat Commun, PNAS, Development, HMG, Cell, etc.
