Saptarshi Sinha, Ph.D.

Saptarshi is a biomedical scientist with a strong foundation in cell and molecular biology. He completed an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Bangalore University, India, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India. During his doctoral research, he worked on the development of a chemotherapeutic regimen to target breast cancer cells by inducing DNA damage and simultaneously inhibiting the DNA repair pathways. His research was funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India. Before starting his doctoral studies, he also worked as a researcher at the Centre for Biodiscovery, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand for a brief period. Saptarshi has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals and received several awards (Research Excellence Award 2022, Best Oral Presentation, Best Poster Presentation, etc.) from various scientific organizations in India. Presently, he is working as a Science Editor at JoVE and aims to contribute to scientific advancements by fostering new collaborations with scientists across the globe. saptarshi.sinha@jove.com
