Kirchhoff's Current Law

Obecne prawo Kirchhoffa, czyli KCL, opiera się na prawie zachowania ładunku. Stwierdza, że całkowity prąd wchodzący i wychodzący z węzła w obwodzie jest równy.
Prądy wychodzące z węzła mają znak minus, natomiast prądy wpływające do węzła mają znak plus.
Poprzez algebraiczne sumowanie prądów w węźle i całkowanie obu stron w odniesieniu do czasu, określa się całkowity ładunek w węźle.
Zgodnie z zasadą zachowania ładunku, ładunek elektryczny netto w dowolnym węźle pozostaje stały, co zapewnia, że węzeł nie przechowuje ładunku netto. Tak więc, jeśli ładunek netto wynosi zero, całkowity prąd również wynosi zero, co potwierdza KCL.
KCL można uogólnić dla zamkniętej granicy, traktując węzeł jako zamkniętą powierzchnię zagęszczoną do punktu.

Prądowe prawo Kirchhoffa opiera się na zasadzie zachowania ładunku. Stwierdza, że w dowolnym węźle (punkcie, w którym spotykają się dwa lub więcej elementów obwodu) w obwodzie elektrycznym, całkowity prąd wpływający do węzła jest równy całkowitemu prądowi opuszczającemu węzeł. Oznacza to, że na złączu nie dochodzi do utraty prądu, co odzwierciedla podstawową zasadę zachowania ładunku elektrycznego.

W zastosowaniu KCL prądom opuszczającym węzeł przypisuje się znak ujemny, natomiast prądom wpływającym do węzła znak dodatni. Sumując algebraicznie te prądy w węźle i całkując je w czasie, można wyznaczyć całkowity ładunek elektryczny w węźle.

Zgodnie z prawem zachowania ładunku, ładunek elektryczny netto w dowolnym węźle pozostaje stały w czasie, co gwarantuje, że węzeł nie gromadzi ładunku netto. Dlatego też, jeśli ładunek netto w węźle wynosi zero, całkowity prąd wpływający i wypływający z tego węzła również musi wynosić zero. Potwierdza to zastosowanie KCL w analizie obwodów.

Co ciekawe, KCL można również uogólnić dla zamkniętej granicy, wybierając węzeł jako zamkniętą powierzchnię skondensowaną do punktu. Pozwala to na zastosowanie KCL w bardziej złożonych środowiskach obwodów.

KCL jest również przydatne do określania łącznego prądu z równoległych źródeł prądu. Sumując algebraicznie poszczególne prądy w węźle, można znaleźć całkowity prąd płynący przez ten węzeł.

Jednakże, aby KCL było prawdziwe, musi zostać spełniony warunek krytyczny: w obwodzie nie mogą występować dwa nierówne prądy połączone szeregowo. Kirchhoff's Current Law explains how current behaves at a circuit node. A node is the point where two or more circuit elements meet. The law says the current entering a node equals the current leaving it. That balance follows the rule of charge conservation, which means electric charge is not lost at the junction.

When applying KCL, currents entering the node are treated as positive and currents leaving the node are treated as negative. The currents can be added algebraically at the node, and their sum can be integrated over time to find the total electric charge there. Because the net charge at a node stays constant over time, the node stores no net charge. If the net charge is zero, then the total current in and out of the node must also be zero.

KCL can also be extended to a closed boundary. In that case, a node is imagined as a closed surface compressed to a point. This makes the law useful in more complex circuit situations. It is also helpful for finding the combined current from parallel current sources, since the individual currents at a node are summed algebraically.

For KCL to remain valid, a circuit cannot have two unequal currents in series. In a series path, the same current must flow through each component. Any difference would break charge conservation. That is why KCL is a basic check when analyzing electrical circuits.
